Meet our Leader!

Hi!

My name is Christopher Hardman (call me Chris).  I am the head guy here at Granite Property Services.

I have been in the property services industry since I was born; my parents owned a small company as a child.  And since it was a family business, I helped out—weeding and picking up garbage as a child,  property cleanouts and repairs as a teenager, and leading the maintenance division as a young man.     I have worked my way up from sweeping the floor to running the maintenance team and learned a few things.

I have worked in the Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, and medical field.  I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.  I was a maintenance tech for a hotel on the Vegas Strip, a Regional Property Manager for several apartment complexes, and a Property Manager for two medium-sized (500ksqft) shopping centers.   I have supported my community, working for close to 7 years in a volunteer Fire Department on the ambulance and the fire trucks.  My last job before starting this was as the Director of Facilities for a 37ksqft specialty veterinary hospital in Boulder, CO, that is doing some great work.   I left having decided that the corporate world was not the right fit for me, and after a long conversation with my wife, we decided to try striking it out on my own.

This endeavor is and was scary.  I have a wife, two beautiful sons, and an old Puggle; they all supported my dream, and now here we are.

As this company grows, I plan on keeping the mindset as a small business.   I saw firsthand how, as companies grow, they lose touch with what is essential: their staff and clients.  While money is significant to keep growing, I remind myself daily that I started from the bottom.   I am proud to be a small business and want to continue to have a small business mindset even when we grow more prominent in the future.

There was one thing that my Mom said a lot when I worked for her company "If I can't show my Mom the project and be proud of it... I don't want to do it.  " -Cheryl Hardman.    I complete every project like my Mom might stop by after; it is done right the first time.

If you have any questions, please, ask me.  I would be proud to say I helped you.
